Our collaborative program uniquely suits the challenges presented by the 2020 pandemic. Students have always safely attended classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Parents have always had full control of the Monday, Wednesday, Friday home schedule. To further mitigate any unknowns this fall, we will limit enrollment in each cohort to eight students so that, including a teacher and optional second adult, no group will include more than 10 people. Our intention is for classes to safely meet for small group instruction even during higher levels of restrictions. When needed, individual desks can be spaced 6-10 feet apart to reduce contact with shared surfaces. We may, at times, stagger recess, utilize separate entrances, enjoy lunch in the classroom, etc. Over summer break, we are developing specialized protocols designed to provide families with peace of mind regarding health, safety, consistency, and quality.
